RE: Tragedy In Surfside
The tragic events of the collapse of the Champlain Towers Condominium building in Surfside, Florida have us responding as we have done throughout the ages with the reciting of heartfelt Tehillim.
The National Council of Young Israel has been in communication with our local branch, the Young Israel of Bal Harbour. The Young Israel leadership in Surfside are doing whatever they can at this time. Rabbi Gideon Moskovitz, incoming Rabbi, is traveling from Houston to be on the scene. Mr. Meno Ratzker, YI Bal Harbour President, is working with the community.
Please continue to daven for the many injured and those that emergency services are trying to reach. It has been reported that one life has been lost. Let us hope and pray that there are no other casualties.
A Miami Tragedy Central Emergency Fund has been set up, the information can be found at the bottom of this communication.
We will do our best to keep you informed in a timely manner.
Bsorot Tovot,
Rabbi David Warshaw
