The 612th mitzvah of the Torah, Hakhel, only happens once every seven years, the Succot holiday following Shmittah. To assist in learning about this mitzvah, National Council of Young Israel has joined with the Hebron Rabbinical Research Institute to produce a 200 page sefer that includes the mitzvah, its Biblical and Talmudic sources; the philosophy of the mitzvah, dinim, halachot, and a discussion of its application (if any) in modern times.
