The National Council of Young Israel, in conjunction with the Council of Young Israel Rabbis in Israel, is proud to present Chomer L’Drush on the 3 Weeks and Tisha B’Av.

Summer is a time of renewal, when many rabbanim take a much-needed and well-deserved vacation with their families. There is not always an opportunity for preparing shiruim to engage the congregation during the challenging time of Bein Hametzarim.

We would like to thank Rabbi Eli Boruch Shulman, Rabbi of Young Israel of Midwood, and Rabbi Yononson Hirtz, Rabbi of the Utopia Jewish Center, for the materials which they have generously shared.

We are also privileged to have Rabbi Shimon Silver, Marah D’Atrah of the Young Israel of Greater Pittsburgh, sharing his halachic work, all of which is available on the National Council of Young Israel’s website at www.youngisrael.org

We are thankful, as well, to Rabbi Zev Leff, shlita, Rav of Moshav Matityahu, and former Rav of Young Israel of North Miami Beach, for allowing us to transcribe his famous Tisha B’Av shiur, which we can now share with the rabbanim.
